Hydraulic Banding Machine
For many years the traditional method of banding and disbanding a wedge type cappel has been by experienced strikers using sledgehammers. However, improving standards prompted the design of the hydraulic banding machine which provides greater consistency of band pressures.
This unit hydraulically presses the bands on to the cappel to predetermined pressures and ensures also that the bands or the cappel limb are not burred during assembly, so reducing the need for periodic refurbishing.
The same machine is used for disbanding the cappel.
