Suspension Equipement for Hoist Ropes - Type WRS Glands
These glands are similar in design to the “NU” type, but are of heavier construction. Used widely for the suspension of hoisting ropes in the shaft during maintenance, they have a number of other uses, including guide rope or rubbing rope suspension.
The gland cases and interlocking wedges are made of steel to BSEN 10025 Grade S355. The two-bolt clamps in steel to BSEN 10025 Grade S275.
These glands do not have holes for shackles and cannot be moved with the rope suspended from them.
All glands are proof load tested to twice the safe working load.
