Lifting & Manoeuvring Attachments - Type NU Glands
The “NU” gland is used for suspending guide or rubbing ropes in mine shafts, the base being supported on girders in the headframe or tower. It is also used for rope anchorage and the suspension of ropes during installation and maintenance.
The gland casing is fully machined from the solid in steel to EN10025 Grade S355, while the interlocking wedges and two bolt clamps are machined from steel to EN10025 Grade S275.
All glands are proof load tested to twice the safe working load.
